2021 GRAY Awards Finalist | Residential Interior Design
Demo for this whole house remodel began in early February of 2020. When COVID-19 hit we had no choice but to move forward, as the house was already down to the studs.
This home located in the Garthwick Neighborhood in Portland, Oregon was originally built in 1935. It was our goal to retain the original charm by Sundeleaf and create an updated environment that promoted healing, comfort, and sophistication.
Throughout the home you will find a neutral palette with pops of color and texture. The juxtaposition of soft, organic materials like boucle and mohair paired with Black Calacatta found on the fireplace creates an intriguing collaboration. The use of the client’s antiques along with the rich, contemporary materials like cerused wood cabinetry, guides your eye and allows a smooth transition from room to room.
